ASOMAVERSE, is a four-piece aggressive/meldoic band
based in Sacramento, CA. With roots in hardcore, experimental, and various
other genres, they have constructed a sound that is unique with a style that
respects each genre that has influenced it rather than just pillaging it for its
superficial familiarity. Guitarist and principle songwriter JASON EASON has a
knack for composing aggressively melodic songs with mosh-pit inspired bridges,
which are sure to break a few bones. While other songs maybe peaceful and
soothing or violently hardcore all the way through. Jason's riffs are not to be
ignored. Lead singer DUSTIN VAUGHN brings a dynamic of vocal range's.
Together, with the guitar he can be soft & subtle or scream something fierce.
And his heart crushing melodies are sure, to bring the ladies to their knees.
Bassist JAY MATHIS shows the melodic touch of a guitarist-turned-bassist.
Jay is always trying to jam pack a song with as many bass groves as possible to
provide that added color that is sometimes missing from heavy rock bands that
rely on a single guitarist. Jay switches between melodic finger picking and slap-
pop style effortlessly. Yes, folks, he plays all those blistering sixteenth note
patterns with his fingers, no picks necessary. He also uses his vocal attributes
to full affect, screaming back up with authority. ADAM VALLES on drums with
his hard hitting, stick snapping, holes in drum head putting relentless attitude
as well as his sick double kick with great timing to round out the rhythm section.
