“Arzathon – THE FOX AND THE FLIES: If it’s psych/funk you’re thirsting for, come & visit Arzathon, with his fox & his flies! You can listen to a lot of the Arzathon tuneage at the soundcloud page… or visit his partially completed “Rodent Tapes” label site (suggest you Google that… ) I was particularly attracted to this CD, as it had a funkier feel than the others submitted (yes, there are more reviews coming). If you take all the ’60′s trips you cruised through, add in all the splendid sounds you heard & then stomp ‘em like a grape pod, you’ll have one fine wine at the end – particularly on pieces like “Builders Of Golgonooza“… you’ll surely come away with a “new perspective”! I give Arzathon a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, particularly if your mind is ready for “tripping”. “EQ” (energy quotient) level is 4.96.”
“Arzathon – THE CULT OF REASON: It’s a strange trip, no doubt, & Arzathon takes you up, down, ’round & through & through, especially on trax like “Ms Deux Les Seintiles” (my favorite on the CD, by the way)… call it what you will, it’s definitely in the “psych-zone”, and will paint images of class war, meandering through a dream conversation with the Gourds (i.e., Gods) of ancient history as they try and let you know what’s comin’ down the pike. Guitar-based, but with lots of other tasty instrumental work wound into the seams, this is quite interesting. Those who are into psych/trip will certainly agree when I say it comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…”
