The Strumpeteers was formed by front man John Dorris over the summer of 2010. After several years of solo guitar playing and song writing he decided it was time to form a full fledged band. A chance meeting with drummer, Patrick Osborne, resulted in a sweet sexual beat symphony one afternoon in the garage. Patrick's many years of experience from drumming in Scottish Piping Bands shines through on a regular basis.
John's high school friend Andrew had recently quit a band because of a disagreement, at which point John asked him if he was interested in a different type of musical project. This filled the spot of lead guitar and shared lead vocals well with Reczek's sultry voice and raunchy play style. Ricky Irvine, another long time friend of Johns, was added a month later to fill the final gap of bass player. His years of experience with in Jazz band with both stand up and electric bass help tie everything together with a smooth twist. In addition a 5th member, Justin Baker, was brought in for a fuller sound. Baker adds keys and miscellaneous percussion to the mix.
Through the help of creative minds and eclectic play styles they hope to achieve something great in this new age of music. The days of Rock Stars are far from over.
