Damienz Dezign consists of two Chicago underground rappers: Kamazi The Red & Plague D. The Black. The different styles of these artists have combined over the years to develop a new style and brand of their own (Sic-Hop). Kamazi, birth name Robert Welch, born 1987 in Dearborn, Michigan, moved to Chicago IL. in 2001. There, Kamazi found his calling to hip-hip. With inspirations such a Esham, Mos Def, Tech N9ne and Wu Tang Clan are displayed in his rhymes. Kamazi searched for other rappers who shared the same & lyrical prowess. Then in 2003, Kamazi through mutual friends on Chicago's south side met Plague. Birth name Jeremy Batton, born in Chicago IL 1987. At that time Plague was involved with unofficial groups and the local Hip-Hop scene at after school freestyle sessions on the North side. Influenced greatly by artists such as NATAS, Ill Bill, Twiztid, Led Zeppelin, Canibus and Gravediggaz, his style is warped system of anger & Vocabulary. The complexity of this Hip-Hop duo is hands down unmatched in lyrical creative vision.
