Started in 1995 with original members Stephen Nutt, Chris Read(bass) and Dale Sharp (drums). Recorded 7" single 'Car Crash/Peep Show/Kickstand' in 1996 on Direct Hit Records.
Chapter two began with the substitution of Carter Albrecht on bass and Jeff Ryan (later of Pleasant Grove) on drums with Chris Purdy filling in temporarily on drums. Recording the EP 'Poor Me' in 1998, the band began playing the SW region and again replaced Carter with Ben Johnston on bass, as Carter was on to play with Sparrows.
2000: we started 'Uphill, Loaded' a 14 song epic of sorts which has yet to see light of day as a complete album (yeah album).
Further complications: new drummer Matt Cagely and a couple more bassists, many more gigs, but life intervenes. A Hammond organ is purchased and becomes part of the band, if only we could find a player for it.
Next episode: Robbie Baxter returns from years in New York engineering and producing, former drummer Kyle Thomas is unearthed after a decade with his technique intact and Daniel Bornhorst agrees to play organ/guitar/bells & whistles.
Many new songs were written in the interim and not surprisingly, the next release may take awhile.
So, like asking anyone who's been married ten years how things are: "It's well . . .you know, it's going, um, better than I expected".
