Zachary Biggus is a guitarist, composer, and teacher from the Chicago land area. Zachary began playing guitar at the age of 11, and has been playing gigs since he was 16. Starting in the rock genre, Zachary transitioned to Jazz after hearing Django Reinhardt. Zachary graduated from Elmhurst College in 2007 with honors. There he studied with Frank Portolese, Chris Siebold, Mark Colby, Bob Rummage, and Frank Caruso. Zachary has had the pleasure to perform alongside such players as Kris Meyers, Glenn Kotche, Ritch Stitzel, Bobby Shew, Matt Harris, Dennis Diblasio, Patti Austin, and others. Zachary performs regularly throughout Midwest venues. His style is uniquely his own but draws from influences including Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Jonathan Kreisberg and all the great guitarists who have come before him.
