GTZ - Grand Theft Zombie is a solo audio project headed by artist Travis Burns, also known as VJZombie (Video Junkie Zombie). Now living in Washington State, GTZ is focused on working on music beats, creating visual art and video production. While GTZ is basically an experimental noise project, the sound of the project is rooted deeply towards dubstep, drum & bass, industrial and video game music. The idea is to have fun while creating electronic music. While the project overall is home studio based, GTZ has played live in Denver, Ft. Collins, Las Vegas & Seattle for a few small shows & a couple open mic nights. While the sound is like no other project out there it is hard to even compare to other types of music since it is based directly towards crunchy video game noise and electronic distortion, bass beats and digital looping audio beats. In many aspects it is difficult to really consider this to even be a music project or a band at all. The project started by Travis Burns in 2010 and ended up gaining a small fan base over the last couple years. After moving to Seattle in 2012, GTZ has been in hyber nation mode. While Travis goes to college, raises a small family and works towards a career; GTZ is in no way dead, but simply waiting for the perfect time to raise from the grave to demolish the masses.
