Born & raised in New York, Mo Greene moved to Chicago college - where he graduated from Northwestern University - and never came back home. And why would he, Chicago's been good to Mo.
During his time at NU Mo dominated the music scene - along with fellow NU alumni Chicago artists Andrew Davis, Jordan Looney, and Rotimi - where he became both the first hip hop artist and the first solo artist to win NU's Battle of the Bands winning him the coveted performance slot at the University's famed Dillo Day. Additionally, Mo was given the opportunity to share stages and open for artists like Talib Kweli, Common, Lupe Fiasco, RJD2, Little Brother, and Robert Randolph & The Family Band. Mo still shows his Alma Mater love by giving the football team it's Anthem every year, the latest of which premiered nationally on the Big Ten Network and is currently being used for the NU Basketball and Football commercials.
Most recently, Mo Greene just wrapped up a 2 month College Tour with Jordan Looney, The Thanks You Notes and The Main Squeeze throughout the Big Ten. Stops included Indiana, Minnesota, Penn State, Chicago's famed Cubby Bear and more. Two stops on the tour landed Mo back in New York where he and his band FireHouse sold out 2 shows at New York's famous Sullivan Hall.
With his highly anticipated mixtape "The Greene Screene" finally set for a January release and Volume 2 of his "Hybrid Trilogy Series" with Bronx production team TheAmazNs set to drop in early 2012, it seems that Mo Greene believes that 2012 will be the end..... For the rest of his competition.
