Still young in age, but seemingly vets to the rap game, as this crew coined the [twitter@BaNunboiz] Ba Nun Boiz formed in 1999 with High School friends: Rory, Quamaine, Tim Bizal, RedRum and Youngin. Today the crew expanded and now consists of over 10 artists which include TayTay, KenKen, Mz. Lady, and Kintae. Together the Family of Ba Nun brings a flavor that is making a huge impact on the Chicago underground music scene. Members offer a Hardcore Rap, R&B sound, coupled with the Chi Town melodic flow associated with such artist as: Triple Darkness, PsychoDrama, Do or Die, Snypaz and others.
After a brief break in 2009, the Ba Nun crew reemerged and joined the coalition of Chicago’s legendaryDrama Ward and began crafting what the streets been waiting for, the heavily anticipated underground mixtape, Hoodlum, that was engineered by DaWreck from Grammy nominated producer The LegendaryTraxster’s Traxster Inc imprint. Hoodlum includes features by the DutchBoys, Explicit Content and Justin Wallace.
Following the release of Hoodlum, the Ba Nun Boiz quickly hit stages throughout the Midwest and Southern regions off the strength of the project, opening for such artist as Travis Porter, Maino, Project Pat and others.
