WASI blends the likes of Blink 182 and Icona Pop to create a reminiscent sound that produces a soundtrack to those So Cal nights of skinny dipping and angsty garage punk shows. The riot pop, female-fronted band hone their infectious energy and uplifting beats as they use their do-it-yourself mentality to relentlessly take over Los Angeles.

Cosmo and Jess teamed up in high school after Cosmo booked a show with a non-existent band. This spontaneity and ambitious energy got them playing as often as they could - from high school themed parties to acoustic sets at the park. Without a plan but a craving to create their own space away from teenage social structures and the norm, the duo recorded their songs at the Fullerton College recording studio and then self-promoted themselves by approaching bystanders with a pair of headphones and their music in hand. After 8 years of writing, performing and developing their craft, they’ve released their Double Single EP featuring tracks Adolescents and And the World. Carlo Ribaux immediately joined the duo on drums after graduating from Berklee College of Music and moving to LA just in time for their February Residency at Silverlake Lounge.
WASI’s self-sustaining momentum is as infectious as their simple melodies and enthusiastic live energy. Their songs consistently showcase an underlying theme of escape and rebellion represent a generation vying to be understood in their own tender time.
