awaking on his 4th birthday, Todd discovered a kid sized drum set in the living room. he banged away with glee, and marveled at the power of the "noise".
that lasted for 2 weeks and my dad got rid of it.
my dad had always played guitar, and had an old classical laying around the house, but i couldn't play it.
my hands were too damn small.
it wasn't until i was 12 could i even get my fingers to set on the fretboard.
but around that time i came home one day from school to find my dad had procured a fender precision bass, and a rather large amp.
he greeted me just inside the door and proceeded to place the bass around my neck and torso.
He went to the record player, put on "Long Haired Country Boy", and said "figure this out"
6 tries later, i had it, yup, "The Bug"
The road gets long, though it must be traveled, but i look forward to seeing you again.
