Parvati is a chart topping, award winning, internationally acclaimed musician, yogini, activist and author who has been featured in magazines, on radio and on television around the world. Parvati spearheads the conscious EDM (Electronic Dance Music) / Post New Age genre with her boundary-breaking independent success hit "Yoga in the Nightclub" and has been awarded the coveted NHC award for best musical artist in 2012. Known for her angelic vocals, positive-possibilities pop, lush soundscapes and catchy dance grooves, Parvati’s music has risen to #2 in the electronic charts in Canada.
Conceived in a field of snow angels in Montreal, Canada, and escorted into this world on New Year's Eve by a man in a tuxedo, Parvati is a new breed of multidimensional artist whose musical inspiration comes from the symphonic sounds of Nature, French disco, polyphonic New Wave, the romantic classics, the laughter of the Buddha, and the sound of the human spirit.
She regularly tours to headline and teach at international music and mind/body/spirit festivals globally and has performed at notable venues, such as, Madison Square Garden (NYC), Earl’s Court (London) and Club Maria (Berlin). Attracting the attention of Cirque du Soleil, Parvati’s revolutionary music and inspired shows are a bridge to otherness, portraying mind-expanding ideas through sonic architecture, fantastical costumes and vivid visuals.
When Parvati is not touring she writes, engineers and produces her music. She giggles when she says her music is "electronic cosmic fairy disco". Innovative yet timeless, fierce as a lion and tender as a flower, Parvati brings the energy and message of transformation to a new generation of heart-dwellers.
One day, while meditating by the backwaters of Kerala, India, divine laughter rippled through Parvati's being and manifested as a ray of gold light called Natamba. Depicted as an intergalactic being in liquid gold, whose super power is to transform a barren world into a technicolour paradise, Natamba is Parvati's stage alter ego who embodies the divine potential within everyone. Whether Parvati performs as herself or as Natamba, her electrifying stage presence brings to life for audiences the brilliant field of interconnection that she calls home.
Through 2013, Parvati is touring her show "YIN: Yoga In the Nightclub" and promoting her critically praised debut self-help book “Confessions of a Former Yoga Junkie” while teaching her unique form of yoga “YEM: Yoga as Energy Medicine”. With crew from Cirque du Soleil, she will tour her show “Natamba”, through Asia in 2014.
