"The Inebriations" was initially a band name made up to release the music created by Dave Yuknat, who, as a one-man band, recorded the acoustic flavored "The Demo EP" in 2011.
Additional tracks were recorded and “The Demo EP” soon morphed into collection of songs known as, "The Rolling Anthology". This set was released on Bandcamp in 2011.
An unwillingness to play these songs out solo-acoustic landed Dave on a Craig's List hunt to build out the second incarnation of the band. Dave was soon collaborating with Chuck Melchin from Bean Picker's Union (mandolin) and Low Spark's Michael Scotti (electric bass) and perform the first gig as The Inebriations at the Middle East in late Summer 2012.
Things started really coming together when Dave met Dark Mark White (Munk Duane Band). When Mark signed on to play upright bass, the "Tennessee Two" vision Dave had for the band began taking shape.
Later in 2012, Eric Wells - a standout blues guitarist & founding member of T.H. and the Wreckage brought his '64 Strat and chicken-pickin' licks to the table.
The first gigs were played as a trio, with Dave providing the beat via a vintage 1922 marching drum while playing guitar and singing.
In early 2013, drummer Rick Weden (The Lines, Vice Grips) joined and single handedly rebooted the band's sound with his Bonham-esque right foot, Texas shuffles and Gene Krupa finesse.
The Inebriations first single, Austin, Texas is out now.
