Arkansas native, William Blackart, cut his musical teeth with the punk rock bands The Fraggin Monarchists and Ray Brower's Body, from 1998 into 2006. It's then he made the move to Chicago. Bandless in a new city, Blackart decided to focus more on the stripped-down solo, acoustic songs he'd been working with. In 2007 he hit the road in support of the solo debut, "Left," and continues in writing, recording and touring new material. His songs have been described most often as folk or lo-fi country, but he encourages listeners to take in the songs and draw their own conclusions.
