Lyndsey Battle is a singer/songwriter from the Gulf Coast bringing a folk-style perspective on the music of the Mississippi River Delta to her audience on both East and West Coasts. Lyndsey’s fresh sound and original lyrics carry a message that appeals to listeners of all ages. These days, Battle calls Humboldt County home, collaborating with Cory Goldman (guitar/banjo) and Brian Hennesy (upright bass). Her most recent album, 'All Ways in a Good Way' was released in June of 2013 and has been garnishing positive response:
“Battle gives her hometown sounds of the Mississippi River Delta a folky, Humboldt soul. It's enough to make any native proud and make transplants want to discover Humboldt all over again. ”
Kim Hodges - North Coast Journal
“Lyndsey Battle's "All Ways in a Good Way" is a Humboldt music win. She's always fun live, and it follows suit that her album is a good listen while you muck about your daily business.”
Rosa Green - Savage Henry Independent Times
Carrying this momentum through the year, Battle and her band mates toured in the Northwest and played the 2013 Oregon Country Fair. These days, Lyndsey Battle teaches ukulele to students at Redwood Coast Montessori School, hosts a weekly radio program on KHUM, calls the occasional square dance, works on a farm and is steadily writing new material for her fourth album.
