Boston’s hard rock legends MASS have had numerous accomplishments over the years but most notably is the selling of over 100,000 albums worldwide!
In 1982, “Mass” signed their first record deal with A&M records and recorded what was to be there first major release. The album was recorded at Criteria Studios in Florida with legendary producer Tom Allom. The album was never released due to the strained relationship between A&M and the band’s former manager.
The band returned to the studio in 1984 to release “MASS” their first self titled EP.
In 1985 MASS signed to RCA records and released their first major label debut, “New Birth”. The 45 single, “Do You Love Me”, was number one for over six weeks at many radio stations along the east coast. The video for that single was also in rotation on MTV and hit Billboard’s charts.
In 1987, “MASS” signed to Enigma records and released their third album/CD, “Take You Home”.
In 1988, “MASS” released their fourth record/CD,” “Voices in the Night”, on Enigma records. Michael Sweet of the band “Stryper” was the producer.
In the Spring of 2000, MASS released “MASS Best Ones” on fore reel Records.
In 2006, “MASS” signed with Retrospect records (a re-issue label) to have their “New Birth”, "Take You Home" & "Voices In the Night" re-released on CD to the delight of many fans!
In January of 2007, “MASS” signs a new record deal with European label Escape Music out of London. The first brand new world wide release is called
MASS “Crack of Dawn” mixed & mastered in Sweden by Martin Kronlund.Since its release in July 2007 the CD has gone on to achieve critical acclaim and sell extremely well around the world and receiving 100s of outstanding reviews!
MASS returned in 2010 with the amazing "Sea of Black" released on April 23, 2010. The early reviews that have come in thus far and are calling it a “Mass”terpiece and the best MASS album yet!
