Know Method started as a vision between two men who previously played in a rock band called Anonymous from 2000-2004. After the falling out of Anonymous, Ryan White and Jordan Taylor formed Know Method. White and Taylor recorded a demo CD and submitted the demo to various record labels across the country. Finally, a production company wanted to help produce “Rain Lights and Rain”.
After the recording of “Red Lights and Rain”, White continued his song writing by entering a handful of songwriting contests with the help of Bassist J Blakey. “Red Lights and Rain” placed second for the month of July in the Song of the Year Contest and “New Home” was placed on the honorable mention list. White and Blakey played for a side project in a Tulsa band in 2005-2006.
White holds a degree in Vocal Music Education and teaches Elementary, Middle School, and High School music. He also gives private voice lessons, guitar lessons, and drums lessons. “I feel it’s important for young people to learn a skill such as an instrument. There are too many video games and other activities out there that keep our youth from learning a productive trade which very well could be a downfall of our culture,” says White.
White also plays guitar, drums, and sings on the Praise and Worship team for his local church. “I feel that it is my duty to share the talents that God has blessed me with and I’m thankful for the opportunity that He has given me at my local church.” Says White.
Some of Know Method’s musical influences are Staind, Incubus, Linkin Park, Rage Against The Machine, POD, Skillet, System of A Down, Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, etc…
Know Method is now signed with TMG and is excited about the release of its first album: Anomaly.
