I hate bios, there's plenty of prefab and fornicated jewels out there if you wanna go root around for 'em.... music is a matter of life or death, it's all I've got, it cost me everything, so I try to write about it and record it before it blows away.
I like Tesla and Tommy guns. I grew up in the Appalachian mountains where we didn't talk about the killings within the family.I was raised on music that got down in your guts and painted the lyrics and melodies with 'em. I feel raw like that inside. I also came up at the feet of honest to God mountain people singing bluegrass music about dying and losing lovers. My dad always told me stories about our family and the generalities that go along with a family of bootlegers, preachers and splintered women.
I found it rather unremarkable to talk about that stuff and then one day the apostles of suburbia began making up songs about how cool it was, then took it to the people and sang it to 'em.
Hmmm, I don't know about that.
These are my stories, I try to be as honest as a liar and a thief knows how to be, I hope you find some threads of truth in here.
I like rocks too, I root around in the banks and ditches, dumpsters and dirt every chance I can. Books are nice, I read 'em a lot.
Prime numbers drive me crazy, taking apart stuff realy gets me going and a fresh dumpster in a hoity toity part of town, well, forget it, I'm going diving.
Next? Well, it started in the mountains with Billy Sticks and ended in Brooklyn with a few musical brawlers we call "Killing Streets."
-More about that after we start recording in February 2015.
