Peter Kun Frary is a critically acclaimed solo classical guitarist who garners such praise as: "…an insightful and personable artist…cleanly articulate and intensely musical…" in a past Honolulu Advertiser concert review. He has performed concerts for the Ensemble Players Guild, Hawaii Chamber Orchestra, Classical Guitar Society of Hawaii, State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Hawaii Public Radio and the University of Hawaii.
Frary's formal music education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Guitar Performance from Western Washington University and a Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
In 1992, Peter and his wife, Seil, founded the Frary Guitar Duo and have performed
extensively in the Hawaiian islands, developing a reputation for lyricism, musical insight and grace.
Currently Peter is Professor of Music at the University of Hawaii, Leeward, where he teaches class guitar, guitar ensemble, applied music and music theory.
