Aitas hails from the heartland of Minnesota, all four members graduating from the same school within a year of each other. Capistrant and Fleisher regularly played in rock bands and Switz and O'Brien spent most of their afternoons after school jamming reggae. When they came together in 2010, this shaped their sound, which evolved quickly into a spacey, visceral fusion of rock, funk and hip-hop (and every now and then a good one-drop).
Taking their sound across the stage, the band quickly became festival trotters, spreading their politically and spiritually motivated message across the Midwest. They have played along side acts such as Chris Berry, New Reb, Nathan Maxwell (Flogging Molly) and The Bunny Gang, Kristoff Krane, Wookiefoot, Nahko and Medicine for the People, Kinetix, and John Wayne and the Payne, and have played for MN gubernatorial candidate Ken Pentel's 2010 campaign. In 2013 they toured the Midwest in support of their first album, Re-Evolved.
"A revolution must start. It must start within the hearts of every man of every country of every continent. It must swell at first with a humbling sense of honesty and then finally explode into a realization that he is Man, that he is connected fully with Nature, the Universe, and all in it; it must take hold the great minds of the world and help them to realize that they are their own souls, their own men, and their own decider. A revolution of heart, soul and mind."
