Born in the small town of Obscurity,Windsor has fulfilled the family dream of getting out of town. Not that getting out of town is a dream for people from Obscurity, they just wanted Windsor to get out of town.
He has a strange connection with varmints like racoons and possums -- they show up wherever he goes. This could be due to his love of animals, but is more likely connected to the stream of edible trash he seems to leave in his wake.
As a performer, Windsor tends to play stuff that defies genres -- if he likes it, and sounds reasonably good playing it, why not? Maybe people will go listen to the original and get turned on to music they would never hear on commercial contemporary radio.
Though he usually performs as a solo, he enjoys playing music with others more than pretty much anything else.
His "act" is a combination of pointless stories and songs about his surprisingly long and predictably dismal life.
His long-awaited first album, "Windsor Knotts, Forgotten...But Not Gone" was released in April 2011, to the clamor of several of his relatives, one of his cats, and some guy he passed on the way to the grocery store.
