Currently the guitarist / vocalist for the progressive rock band Florida Man.
Gorden Mack has gained critical success as the lead guitarist for the band Red House Painters on 4AD Records. Gorden was the original guitarist when the band was originally signed by 4AD and was integral member during the 5 recorded albums and all live performances through 1996. Gorden Left shortly after the recording of Old Ramon, about the same time 4AD decided to stop working with the band.
In '96, Gorden set down his ambition s to be a professional musician to raise his family and find some real work.
Today, his kids are mostly grown and leaving the house, and Gorden is still itching to play and record his own original music. Gorden has started an association called the San Francisco Roots Music Association, where musicians come together to play what they feel are the most influential albums of their lives. Gorden has directed or participated in live performances of such influential albums as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Portishead;s Dummy, Yes' Fragile and Led Zeppelin III.
Gorden is now putting together a live band to perform his original music. The ideal line-up would be Bass, Drums, 2nd Guitarist, and a Keyboardist / Samplist.
Gorden will continue to record and post new material as he records new material in his home studio.
