Before I ever touched an instrument, my older brother Stephen introduced me to Jazz/Fusion, Frank Zappa, The Beatles and more... It was when I first saw him in his bands that made the wheels turn in my mind to say, "Yeah, I want to do that".
From there I moved onto my own musical make up and at the age of 11 took up guitar as my first instrument of choice. Kiss and AC/DC were the most fun and easiest to emulate. Then a childhood friend, John Rinaldi gave me the album 2112 by Rush-this was a pivotal point for me-a coming together of what my brother had introduced me to and what made my mind's eye say, "YES! THIS IS MUSIC!" From there my listening and playing grew with many different high school friends.
After graduation & realizing I cannot do the, "regular day job" until I retire, I switched to bass and found a cover band to play with. We were called Dirty Movie & we had fun cutting our teeth in Florida clubs for the next 3 years.
From here I moved up into playing original music with the band Farrcry, got a record deal, started collecting home recording gear, opened for numerous national acts, got onto MTV Europe and radio stations in the US & Europe...
Music styles, changing as they do, brought me to the next project called Mindflower-we had all the makings of a successful alternative band until the drugs wore off? Kids-just say no to drugs! We did manage to release a fine first album together called Cydonia but this short lived lifestyle was not for me.
It was in this time that I really moved into the the "finding myself happenstances", phase. Bought even more recording gear, expanded my listening to basically everything under the sun, learned a couple of more instruments while writing and performing solo. I finally learned audio engineering, graduated from SAE Miami and honed in on sequencing and programming just for the finishing touches. I continued recording in my home studio and these songs are the result.
I hope you enjoy.
