Marc grew up in a small town in South Carolina as the youngest son in a military family. Marc was inspired at the age of 12 to play the guitar and soon after started writing his own songs. “Most of my influences were from my older brother and sister and I really had no choice but to like it or leave.” Well… Marc learned to love it with a passion. After attending his first concert at the age of sixteen in a small theater, Marcs’ fate was sealed. He began writing and playing as much as he could. After he graduated from high school Marc went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Not long out of college he started MC Sound Studios in Charleston, SC doing demos and writing Jingles which enabled him to hone his craft of writing. Next was a 13 year run as a performer at The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach where he sang and played saxophone six nights a week. Burnt out from years of theater, Marc continued to be drawn to his writing and has now finally committed to the task of playing his original music once and for all. He has taken his experiences of life and used them to compose many uplifting contemporary releases. His musical style is powerful and deals with real world struggles that people face today. Marc combines his rock influences with the message of his faith and perseverance to reveal how he has found the ability to rise above.
