Glennerd And The Bastard Few . . .
Imagine the world spinning off its axis, and you'll have a good idea of what these guys sound like. As a four piece dark indie folk band formed in February 2010, their original sound has attracted an enthusiastic and steadily growing fan base sooner than any of them expected.
Armed with different social and musical upbringings, Glennerd and the Bastard Few combines these unique styles to create a beautiful and artistic presentation. And with their dark edge, these particular bastards are quickly gaining legitimacy and notoriety within the scene and industry.
"We are a mesh of different personalities and musical backgrounds" says Jason. "Each end of the spectrum seems to be represented here".
"We have so much fun performing this music" says Brad. " It's impossible for me not to have a smile on my face when performing".
"Our main sound is comprised of guitar, banjo, drums, and melodic vocals.” says Jordan. “Other instruments we use are chains, weights, hammers, crowbars, cinder-blocks, hand drums and anything we can think of to add that organic feel and raw energy to the experience. Through the utilization of this unsuspected instrumentation, we deliver an original sound to the listener’s ear as well as quite the spectacle for the audience at live performances.
It's definitely worth checking out.
"We've really gone beyond everyday music with this record" says Glenn. "We all have different influences in music, and we've managed to somehow capture vocal melodies that get stuck in people's heads, and the musical diversity that keeps the sound fresh. We never cease to find something new in what we do, and try not to settle for the ordinary. As diverse as we are, the common element that’s shared between all of us is the desire to create hot music, and carry out a live performance that soars beyond the mundane".
