Tom N Tierney / Bio

Thanks for visiting! Tom hopes his music ministers. He has about 50 tunes out here currently. Musical styles offered include Christian folk songs, jazz sax and flute, solo classical and celtic guitar, and celtic duet. A blessing to be able to share it.

Born in Newport News, VA and raised in Hampton, Tom has been creating art and music his entire life. While a young high school student, he auditioned to become a US Navy musician, a move which changed his life though he didn’t realize it at the time. They accepted him and he traveled to some far corners of the world playing saxophone and clarinet. The training required to become a proficient player in the service band system deeply engrained music in his young mind, and he has been playing ever since. Tom has a degree in Music Therapy from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA where he played classical alto sax and took renaissance guitar lessons, while teaching himself folk guitar as a hobby. Tom accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of 28, and loves writing meditative acoustic Christian folk songs. Playing celtic and renaissance classical guitar continues to be a favorite past-time, and he also enjoys playing jazz saxophone and flute with many bands in his home area and at his church.

Tom is very grateful for what the Lord has given, and His abundant mercies. His hope and prayer is that his folk songs and art bless and strengthen you and your walk with the Lord. If you don't know Jesus and have a personal relationship, you are missing out big time. The joy and peace alone are worth all the money in the world. Thanks for listening, and may God abundantly bless you!
