At this point in his musical journey, the Augsburg College mechanical engineering student, who first started writing poetry in second grade then in middle school started creating beats and at South high school combined the two into his original songs. In doing so, he has left a mark within the South High music program. He played in the Jazz band and school bands and orchestra in middle school and high school. He started piano and drum lessons when he was four years old. He also played in his neighborhood church band. Princeton credits his parents for his deep love of music. "My father was a well known Reggae DJ and my mother played piano and has a passion for the fine arts." " My parents always remind me that when I was younger I would say that I want one of everything that makes music!" Princeton always included humming melodies in everyday activities. An early experience in Princeton's musical life was when during one of the many trips to Jamaica local artists would record over his original beats. Following the sessions in Jamaica, Princeton's parents encouraged him to start to sing over his own beats. Princeton's sister, Symone, also a talented musician, works closely with Princeton to define his sound. A true Minneapolis family affair!
