I’ve had an ongoing love affair with the guitar since I was fourteen. If I was not playing a guitar, I was buying, selling or trading for one. Some things will never change.
Being a musician has taken me from Alaska to Monte Carlo, the Republic of Monaco and much of the U.S.A. In the late 70’s it was HIGHROLLER, a kick ass southern rock ensemble that people still ask about. In the 80’s it was the top 100 rock touring band Avenger that evolved into an original act and lasted to the 90’s. A short stint at the end of the 90’s was STREETRUNNER, a “grab you by the throat” cover band with some good originals. The year 2000 brought the inception of Kingstreet, an all original band that produced two cds in the ten years that I was associated with it. During 2005, as a side project to Kingstreet, I became a part of the central Florida Southern rock ensemble DIABLO CANYON. We have recently joined back together and are looking at a full concert schedule!
A few of the well know artists I have had the pleasure of opening for are--Atlanta Rhythm Section, Marshall Tucker Band, Kentucky Headhunters, Blackhawk, Mickey Thomas and Starship, Edgar Winter, Mark Farner of Grand Funk, and the legendary Leon Russell.
My musical influences varied from the roots of rock in the 50’s and 60’s, Motown with its harmony, some country artists, and, of course, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, B. B. King, Johnny Winter, Carlos Santana, Duane Allman and Dickey Betts.
My own style came from all of that and the southern blues rock feel comes quite naturally. for which I make NO apology. Long live The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Z.Z. Top and ARS.
This myspace is a place for some of my original tunes that may or may not be performed by KINGSTREET or various other artists. Check back as new tunes will be added soon!
Thanks for your time and may God Bless you as much as he has blessed me.
