Playing Clubs Casinos and Festivals Since 2003 DANG!
DANG! plays the dance music of truck drivers, honky tonks and county fairs. Their song book contains the hits of Johnny, Merle, George, Waylon and Buck... thanks to the bodacious Nelle Porter-Jones, they also cover Tammy, Patsy, Loretta, Kitty and Lynne; nothing but smash hits from Country's Golden Age, 1955 to 1975.
Guaranteed to have ANY audience singing along, dancing and laughing by the third song. They cut up with each other and the audience and create a high energy Honky Tonk experience. They are experts in what you might call “Crowd Retention” They don't just play songs, they put on a show. Folks tend to stay for “ …just one more...” At a festival or community concert they appeal to young and old alike.
Grady Robideaux on bass and Hank McCullaugh on lead guitar. Grady drives the band like a freight train and Joe brings a definite “Pete Andersen-Jerry Reed” vibe to the whole mess. As always, DANG! has the huge vocal harmonies. They join Slim Tynan, Lyle Munroe, Tim Clark and Nelle Porter-Jones who as DANG! has opened for the Outlaws, Pure Prairie League, Dale Watson and Marshall Tucker.
