"The Crawdiddies" / Bio

"The Crawdiddies" mix Delta Blues with early jazz and blues-root styles. They formed in the winter of 2011 while jamming at "Son House Blues Night" in Rochester NY.
Young Heather Taylor walked in once, during the monthly jam (which pays tribute to the late/great delta blues king), toting her flute!
Her flute & her voice (* which has been compared to Nora Jones & Susan Tedeschi) motivated the the rest of the band to gather together fast.... If you mix some "Canned Heat", Blind Willie Johnson with some Memphis Minnie; Then add some bass & creole rhythms with the bottleneck slide, you'll get "The Crawdiddies' vibe.
