Boggs, a former Starbucks executive, lawyer and US Army Airborne veteran, spends much of her time with music, education and community causes. Currently she sits on the boards of School of Rock and public radio station KEXP, is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The Grammys©) and serves on the President's Committee for the Arts and the Humanities. In Paula Boggs Band she is joined by diverse musicians, including renowned percussionist Tor Dietrichson, schooled in jazz, rock, blues, folk and world, who launched their debut record in 2010 and in 2015 will release “Carnival of Miracles,” recorded mostly at Woodinville's Bear Creek Studios. The band performs nationally and songs "The Decision" (aka "Carnival of Miracles") and "Look Straight Ahead" were "Recommended" and named a "Semi-Finalist" in 2013 and 2014 respectively by national songwriting competition, SongwriterOfTheYear©. Paula Boggs Band performed at 2014's NW Folklife Festival and whether supporting a cause or listener, the band aspires to make music that matters.
