Heathen Eyes / Bio

Welcoming the second incarnation of Heathen Eyes ~ we are currently writing, rehearsing and recording new material ~ its sounding bigger and more epic than before!
Heathen Eyes formed in 2010 and steadily gigged their way around the north island of NZ playing with bands such as Devilskin, The Eternal (aus), Cripple Mr Onion and many other local greats. The first line up also made their way to Australia, playing 2 gigs in Sydney including the Penrith Panthers theatre.
In early 2012 the original members disbanded and lead vocalist/guitarist/writer Jason McIver decided to (after some time off) refresh the band musically and personally.
2013 has seen the band refreshed with members Chris Birch, Jak Stone, Billy Todman and Paul Lawrence and have been featured on Nation wide rock radio in New Zealand and being featured in New Zealand Musician magazine and Australia's Blunt Magazine, also being featured as track #5 on its accompanying sampler CD. The band also made it to the National Battle Of The Bands grand finals for 2013 and have received amazing online reviews for their shows and music.
Heathen Eyes have become a band not to be missed, with heavy riffs, big hooks and sweet atmospheric changes there is something for every rock and metal lover!
Heathen Eyes are currently recording there first official release with the first single The Blood Of Cain now on Youtube, Reverbnation and Band Camp and follow up single, You're Gonna Need a God, is soon to follow
