She N She... not only does the name of the band offer some history to the genesis of the group itself, but is also a personification of what the group, at its core, is all about. One part indie, two parts folk, and three part harmonies blend beautifully to create an amalgam of originality. Brandy Douglas, Drea Suarez, and Kate Anderson-Grijalva, who all met at a local open-mic in their hometown of Augusta, GA, lead this powerfully technical group of female artists. Accompanied by the unparalleled precision of Sean "Drum Machine" Fairburn on percussion this brilliantly rounds out the professional and full sound of the band.
Anyone who is an avid music lover or insider of the music industry will tell you that for the past decade the "folk/Americana" genre has exploded on an international level. There has been a resurgence of folk artists who are leading the fad in pop culture today such as Iceland's - Of Monsters and Men, Uk's - Mumford and Sons, and America's - Avett Brothers among others. Whether it's the fate of impeccable timing or stroke of genius, She N She has created a buzz among the folk rock scene in a big way. Winners of the 2012 Columbia County Amateur Series as well as recipients of multiple local musical awards, She N She also contribute to the community as a whole by performing at various fundraisers and benefits. The group gives back by advocating and raising awareness about equal rights within their own LGBT community with one of their biggest yearly involvements performing on the Southeast Pride Circuit. The versatility of She N She captivates both audiences in an intimate setting of smaller venues performing to 50 people as well as large stages rocking out to thousands.
Already working on their third full length album set to come out later this year, She N She continue to expand their reach to a broader fan base. Touring and performing constantly, the passions of this hard working act can be felt in the harmony of their voices, the vibe of their songs, and the dedication to put on a solid show.
