Megan Combs has been singing, writing songs and playing guitar from the age of six. Her first Debut EP West With You, was released in 2004, and received much attention in the North East. Legendary Grammy award winning guitarist Mark Ross took her under his wing and began to help her polish her skills. From there Megan took her music on the road, eventually living in Virginia and North Carolina, and landing in the Southern California music scene in June of 2008. “I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and perform with amazing musicians who keep me on my toes and keep me humble," Says Megan, who has been steadily building her fan base in Southern California. She has performed at Festivals such as SXSW in Austin along side legendary 'Blues Traveler' singer John Popper, American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox, and pop sensation Andy Grammer. She is a frequent on the famous Belly Up Tavern stage, opening up for amazing artists such as Suzanne Vega.
Megan traveled to Guatemala in late 2013 with the Music Is Love Exchange or M.I.L.E foundation, where she shared her talents along side Tony Lucca from NBC The Voice, Honor By August, and participated in great humanitarian work with the guatemalan locals.
She also volunteers at the Los Angeles Rock n Roll camp for girls every summer with the successful and talented women of Raining Jane, who are curently working with Jason Mraz, grammy nominated Sarah Bareilles, and The Cold and The Lovely just to name a few.
In her newest adventure, Megan is excited to announce she is a part of a new songwriting duo with David Ornelas from the well loved southern California roots reggae band Stranger. The project is called Hummingbird Hotel, and their debut single 'Can't Say' was releasd on iTunes May 13th, 2014. Their second single 'My Way' will follow soon!
