The artist currently known as King B. hails from the south side of Chicago. The host of “King B.’s Raw Fusion” began his screen career in 1995. In ’95 and ’96 King B. worked on a total of six films. However, that wasn’t enough for the young actor, he wanted to try his hand at the small screen. So, he decided to create his own soap opera where he would play the lead, “Manoshua Johnson” a ruthless record executive. Thus “Temptations” was born.
“I wanted something on T.V. while we were working on the soap opera.” says King B. “King B.’s Raw Fusion” would premier April 29, 2000. The show started out with King B. hosting and playing music videos, soon it would have morphed into a variety show, complete with hot topic questions and panel discussions.
In January of 2003, after producing fifty shows on cable, King B. began talking to WTTW, PBS’s largest affiliate, about “King B.’s Raw Fusion”. Two and a half months later the deal was done. King B. also founded Red Eye Drops, Incorporated a music, T.V., and film production company.
Now in 2010 King B. is set to star in “ROOST 2.5” the dramatic follow up to the underground hit “ROOST 1-2”. The series is about a Chicago mafia hitman that gets hit by his own organization. To celebrate the film’s release he is releasing a mixtape that has the likes of Shawnna, Newsense of Psychodrama, Never More of Crucial Conflict, Felony of Public Announcement, Rhymefest and many more. The first single is “Adicktid” a sexy rap song done by the King himself and featuring RED Inc. member Christina Lowe. King B. is doing big things check him out!
