Red Cross Sky / Bio

Red Cross Sky was established in 1995 upon the acceptance of guitarist/songwriter, John Koutny's original demo version of "Red Cross Sky" for a benefit CD compilation on Reversing Recordings. A band was quickly put together for an overnight recording session at Big Sound Studio in Westbrook, Maine. History is still being made...

Red Cross Sky has evolved from numerous lineup changes throughout the years. One of strongest lineups featured Farren Pelky on bass/vocals (Twice Shye), William Bruner (Rite As Reign) on drums and John Koutny (Red Cross Sky) on guitar which can be heard on "Riders of the Heart", "Skin", "Earthrise" and "Languid."

In 2011 a new version of "Red Cross Sky" featuring Todd Erickson (Freerider) on bass/vocals was re-recorded at William Bruner's Dungeon Wax Studio and it has been getting some airplay on The Bone - 106.3 FM - Portland, Maine thanks to favorite DJ Katrina.

An all-new lineup for Red Cross Sky is in the works so stay tuned....
