For many musicians, there comes an inevitable day when they wake up and realize that real life has caught up with them. It no longer makes sense to tour the country in a barely running van, sleeping on some random kid's far from clean floor, somehow surviving on a terrifying diet of fast food or carefully rationed grocery store purchases, all to play to 8 people in, what's the name of this town again? When that dreaded morning finally breaks, some pack up those drums and guitars one last time for a journey either to the local used music gear shop, or for a forgotten lifetime in a cold, dry, and lonely attic. Others however, take the opportunity to reassess why they played music in the first place...
The Central Division was born in the spring of 2008. Kristian Peterson (bass), Adam Welle (guitar/vocals), and BJ Wuollet (drums) had each spent the last 15-20 years chasing down their rock 'n roll dreams. The tolls and stress of it all brought them together through a shared realization that world domination wasn't going to happen (at least any time soon) but that didn't mean they couldn't just write and play some songs because it's what they love to do. Their existence no longer defined by a mission of success, just the shear thrill of being in a band. It's this new outlook that fuels each and every one of their practices, shows, and recordings.
Oh yeah...Go Twins!
