Twenty-Twelve is here, they say with shaking fear.
After being disillusioned by the music industry Ben Carroll decided to walk away. Fed up with the record labels and the corrupt, floundering music industry, fed up with the lies and the empty promises, fed up with leading what had started to feel like a completely shallow existence, pretty much...fed up with everything. Ben left the big city and moved to Maine, the perfect place to hide away. He knew no-one.
It's best you kept away from me.
But instead of hiding away, something else started happening. An awakening. Where there was once only darkness, a light had appeared...a glow inside that started to fill the void. Do you remember? Deep inside, do you remember? Can you feel that there is something more than the illusions of this consciousness, illusions that distort the nature of our true being into the delusions of the solitude of time and space? Can you feel the center of truth and light deep inside you? Can you feel the hollow glow?
The Hollow Glow is born.
I'm alive and I'm fixing to survive!
After writing & recording two collections of demo's (“Out of the Darkness” & “Into the Light”) Ben set out to turn The Hollow Glow into a real band....which turned out to be a very painful experience. It took two years to find the right musicians. But after all the searching, and no compromising, The Hollow Glow is now completed by Tom Connors on bass & Travis Barton on drums.
You are getting underneath my skin, I pull you even further in.
On October 2, 2012 The Hollow Glow will be releasing their first ever album as a real band...fully independently. Maybe this time around we can remember what is really important in life...after-all it is only...just a dream.
Tonight you all will glow with me,
Tonight we all will glow,
