Acid Rock Power Trio
Formed in early 2010, "High Freq" Is Scott Francis (bass) "Static" James Van Natter (drums) and Mike Hodgson (guitar).
Bound only by style, “High Freq" transcends all genres with a wide range of all original music. Hard stops, easy starts, limited lyrical placement, and haunting overtones draws the listener into a state of mind, that allows the imagination to flow free. With the ability to effortlessly transition from classical styling’s to super heavy crunch, High Freq is sure to entertain.
Mike Hodgson and Scott Francis originally started "blind Seven" a psychedelic rock band in the 1990s and went on to play many venues to include the University of Washington hub auditorium.
They then formed a different more progressive style rock band under the name "The liberty caps", played various venues including an outdoor event in the San Juan islands.
Mike moved to Japan to pursue various endeavors. and Scott entered a musical project named "Hyperlung". Scott with Hyperlung went out on tour and played a wide range of venues, lolapalooza ,NXNW Music fest, KCMU Seattle ,and many more. Hyperlung also opened for The Red Crayola, The John Spencer Blues Explosion, Seven year Bitch.
In 2009, Mike got out of the military and came back to Seattle. Mike and Scott, with the help of “Static” James, who is a former drummer of the band “Electric Zodiac” and a long time acutance, formed the acid rock power trio "High Freq”.
High Freq went right to work with their first independent full length album “Long Range Transmissions" and was very well received; High Freq has maintained a busy live presence and believes in getting the music out to be heard.
Currently High Freq is independently recording and producing their second full length album and is actively writing their third.
Non offensive in any way with great visuals and commanding on stage presence, the acid rock power trio "High Freq" is a great live experience!
