SHOCK FRENZY is a hard rock band who originally formed in 1992. From 1992 – 1996 the band went by the name EARLY DAWN. The band started as a three piece with Andy Brant - guitar, Matt Sather - drums and Tom Quinn – bass/vocals. Shortly after the band formed Tom met Matt Jenkin-lead guitar, and Early Dawn became a four piece. They played the next four years together enjoying successful shows at Flash’s Concert Club.
After four years, tension between members started to rise and the band disbanded in 1996.
After thirteen years, Andy ran into Matt J. at a record store, shortly there after, Matt S., Andy, and Matt J. started practicing together again. Tom came down to a few practices, but prior commitments to the band he had been playing with kept him from fully committing. They didn’t have to look far for a replacement on bass, Matt’s brother Brian is a bass player and played a few shows with the band in the 90’s, so it was fitting to ask Brian to join the band. Matt then asked Paul Hoss (ex Motor Sunday vocalist) if he would be interested in joining the band. Renaming the band Shock Frenzy, they have resurrected their old songs and have written new. With Hoss' vocal’s, the old Early Dawn songs have a new and more modern sound. So after thirteen years, Shock Frenzy(formally Early Dawn) was back!
In December 2011, after three years of dedication, Brian decided to leave the band to pursue other adventures. Not looking to replace Brian, Paul also being a bass player stepped into the role and will fill the bass and lead vocal duties.
