Between 2008-2009, ne'er-do-wells T. Evil and J. Wall convened every third or fourth Saturday in the crude, eerily lit, and possibly haunted home studio of Woodland Estate with one ambition: to belt out a song, from scratch, in two to three hours. The result: about a dozen workable tracks that were eventually pared down to the first eponymous EP, scheduled for June 2010 release.
More project than band, Satyrs now makes its home in Asheville, NC, where T. Evil continues the experiment in various incarnations (including occasional reunions with musical polyglot J. Wall and collaborations with local musicians).
