Shady Day / Bio

"Susan Ssun comes from a long line of flat pickers and fiddlers; the most notable, the late great, Roy Hatchard, who was inducted into the B,C. Country Music Hall of Fame in the 1990's. Her original songs are inspired by traditional roots, blue grass and folk music. Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast during the 1960's/70's, she was heavily influenced by the song writing of emerging artist/musicians who migrated between California and B,C. during the time. Susan moved out to Saskatchewan in the late 1980's. Previously of Saskatchewan based band, Atticus Finch, Susan's engaging vocals and songs have earned her a solid fan base, and can be heard regularly on Saskatchewan radio. Now back on the Sunshine Coast, she is looking forward to broadening her fan base and sharing new material inspired by the stunning beauty, history and cultural influences of the Canadian west coast. The Shady Day "experience" is a combination of soulful song writing, warm, sensitive vocals and experienced musicianship. Enjoy!
