Suckerfish is an original modern rock band from central Connecticut. The band was formed in 1993 as a cover band, playing the rock radio hits of the day. They began writing their own songs soon enough, mixing them in with the modern rock covers they were known for.
Suckerfish played throughout southern New England for the next 5 years establishing themselves as a popular local act. Some of their past shows include performances at Toad’s Place, The Webster Theater, and Club Infinity. They were also regular headliners at The Russian Lady, No Name Bar, Maximillian’s, 125 Riverside Drive and many other area clubs. Suckerfish recorded their debut CD “Out of Focus” in 1996 and then signed with J-Bird Records. They continued performing and writing until their break-up in the spring of 1998.
After more than 10 years, Suckerfish has re-joined, and they're continuing where they left off. They also look forward to recording the follow up to "Out of Focus".
