Indie folk with a new twist, Valerie DuPont was selected as the opening act for the Folk Project Spring Acoustic Getaway (previously known as the Spring Festival) in 2014, where she and fellow performer Ian Gershman received a review of "Excellent" from attendees. She was also a featured performer at the 10th Annual Post-[Philadelphia] Folk Fest Fester's Fest in September in Glen Mills. Valerie wraps her soulfully sweet voice and mesmerizing arrangements around richly crafted tales. With rhythmic, melodic tunes, she weaves together tales of loves lost and found, and a range of hopes and wishes, with references to angels, Clue characters, trains, migraine headaches, superheroes, Abraham Lincoln, gardening, Christmas and more threaded in between. Her catchy, heartfelt melodies stay with you long after the last joyful notes ring out. Recently Check out her captivating self-titled EP at http://www.cdbaby.com/m/cd/valeriedupont1
