From the sweet bosom of the Blue Ridge Mountains comes Grass Monkey, a full-on assault of mountain discord, grinding harmonies, busted strings and a mirthful rhythm section. They embrace their traditional string-band upbringing as well as their alternative influences, believing the best creation is done naturally and without regard to trends or traditions. The result is a gigantic, new animal with huge, sharp teeth. But those teeth are smiling.
