Advercity, formally known as Sudbury’s Finest is a multi-talented singer, writer and rapper. Born and raised in Sudbury Ontario, his Identity sparks from his environmental upbringing. The passion to express himself through the art of poetry helped him cope with the everyday struggles we call life. A combination of sweet harmonies, stylistic flow, lyrical array of punch lines and multi-syllable’s make Advercity a unique addition to Hip-Hop.
Currently, in the midst of releasing his first mix-tape in the summer of 2013, Advercity’s is looking to make it break out year. Collaborations with Control A.K.A Jon Conner, StreetWise, Doc Pun, Julius Sleazer, Illy Da Kid and many more will be featured on the debut mix-tape Poetic Justice.
Heavily influenced by artists like Tupac and Notorious B.I.G, Advercity began writing poetry at age 12. Slowing making his transition into hip hop at age 14.He first started recording at age 15 with fellow artist and best friend Big Money. In the basement of a run down apartment building they hooked the mic that he lent from Sudbury Secondary School up to an old laptop. This is where he really began to develop his skill, style, and image. After a few years of developing musically he then crossed paths with artist and producer Doc Pun. Not only did Doc Pun help launch his music he also helped Advercity develop his sound and contacts. Now Advercity has worked with producers Streetwise, Doc Pun, JoeyT and is featured on StreetWise's first album containing collaberations with Theorys Given, Ib Profit, and Sincere.
