The artist known as Billie Law a.k.a. iL duCE was born William Allen Lawson on December 28, 1983. Born a bastard to a drug-addicted mother, he didn't know his father till he was 10 years old. Raised by his grandparents, Billie became an autodidact in that he taught himself to read, add, multiply and count money before he was 5 years old. By the time he was 18 years old, he had become a stellar student, musician, and leader in the community. Turning down a National Who's Who of High School Students and opting to join the Navy. Billie Law said goodbye to the city dubbed Crime Bluff and William Lawson. After boot camp and A-school, he made his home in Newport News, Va. From that time forward, the rapper known as iL duCE started his path to hip-hop greatness. After failing alcohol rehab, he was kicked out of the Navy. Opting to live with his biological father in Dallas, iL duCE became acquainted with South Dallas and the lifestyle of a D-boy, while honing his craft as an M.C. From there iL duCE moved to Oklahoma to help his mother, who by this time had been clean for over 10 years, raise his sister. While in Oklahoma he heeded the call of the streets with the knowledge, wisdom and understanding instilled in him since a youngster. Escaping any major charges, and feeling the need to tell his story and change his hometown, iL duCE decided to put all of his past throughout Texas and Oklahoma behind him and move back to Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he is as known and respected as his family is in Dallas, Tx. From then forward Billie Law has released the revolutionary $5 Education, and is prepping for the release of his much anticipated debut The Life & Crimes of Billie Law.
