Living in Error is a band from Philadelphia trying their best to make you remember what it was like when you wore the same flannel shirt so often that people would look at you strangely.
After last playing together in the post-hardcore band Color of Day in 2004, guitarist Scott Slomeana (ex-Mad Splatter) and drummer Matthew Tholey got together in the Fall of 2012 to form Living in Error. In March of 2013, bassist Andrew Wellbrock (ex-Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, Left Behind) joined up and the band began putting together enough material to record a full length. All three of the band members knew each other from playing in various bands in the early-2000s based out of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Inspired by bands such as Sonic Youth, Tad, and Helmet, the band's writing brings to mind a 90s grunge and alternative sound with an underlying influence of pop punk from the members' previous projects. In April of 2013, the band entered Noisy Little Critter in Downington, PA to record their debut album, BATH. Released digitally on August 20, 2013, BATH is a 10-song introduction to Living in Error showcasing the band's dynamics and songwriting.
Coinciding with the release of BATH, Matthew moved to South Carolina for new adventures. Longtime friend and collaborator Paul Stanley took over on drums and began playing shows immediately. Living in Error hopes to help contribute to hearing loss at a venue near you real soon.
