The Tacoma based Atomic Outlaws is a band with “an intense mixture of raw emotion, passion and rock ‘n roll” who is “bringing back the American dream… 3 chords at a time."
What started as a strong local fan base is now spreading around the country like a pandemic; except this pandemic contains explosive guitar riffs and a high energy live show Red Bull would kill to sponsor. Consisting of Calvin Muma on vocals, Pat on guitar, Rob Z. on bass and Double J on drums. Their influences range from 1970's Punk and Classic Rock, 80's and 90's rock and AOR music to anything with great guitars and a cool melody.
The Atomic Outlaws are finding their audience the only way they know how, through powerful progressive music and a steady stream of live shows. They recently played three shows at SXSW in Austin, Texas, rocked 20,000 people at The South Texas Rockfest in San Antonio, KISW's Pain In The Grass with Saliva, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Static X, and Chevelle at the White River Amphitheatre.
They have played the Key Club in Hollywood with Steel Panther – twice filling the club to capacity and with lines of people winding around the strip.
Past gigs and tours include Earshot, Faster Pussycat, Powerman 5000, Alien Ant Farm, Swedish rockers The Vains of Jenna, So Cal boys Divide the Day, and Vancouver BC based Jet Black Stare,Supersuckers, Queensryche, Tesla, L.A. Guns, and Ratt among others.
The Atomic Outlaws stage shows have been described as "A sassy, guitar-loaded kick in the nuts" and “Hot damn…that just kicked my ass." "The Outlaws put on a performance, they don't just stand there and play good music, they play kick-ass rock n roll and put on a show.” With these reviews it is clear why The Outlaws were recently voted by fans into KISW’s 9 o’clock Cockfight Hall of Fame by winning 7 nights in a row in Seattle last year.
