Easily garnering comparisons in the vain of Pat Benatar and Tina Turner for her captivating genre bending vocal performances. As a bass player she has been called “fearless” and commands attention with each effortless note.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Cherri started singing and performing at a very young age. She began honing her craft fronting many girl groups and performing at countless talent showcases. Her vocal performance work is nothing short of breathtaking. Her ability to stack harmonies without missing a blink makes this dazzling artist the one to the watch.
A short time again she set her sights on taking Atlanta by storm, after her relocation to the city she is doing just that. Her self-taught bass skills have her in as much demand as her bold angelic voice. Playing every major venue in Atlanta and the southeast, Cherri has quickly become the type of bass player to call on when a quality performance is required. Cherri performs regularly with her own powerful band and intimate solo acoustic shows. She is also the lead singer for BarrelHouse, another band with screaming guitar licks that tinge the soul. She has began work on an EP which includes six original songs featuring Rock-pop anthems ‘Narcotic’ and Crazy Boyfriend, two songs that her fans have proclaimed to be amongst some of her best work. Her music can only be described universally as energetic soul filled rock. Her first outing promises to be the independent release of the year.
